As providers of seed and crop management solutions, this agrichemical business’s customers are always looking for a better crop yield from the products they buy.
To maximize those yields, it takes an amalgamation of soil type, farming intensity, and a variety of other factors—all of which can be informed and aided with the help of sales representatives.
Business Goal: Enable their sales representatives to have richer conversations with customers.
During a workshop, Deloitte Digital worked with Apple to understand the art of the possible. Immersing in business problems, focusing on needs, and getting to a solution quickly, Deloitte Digital paired creative thinking with industry experts, iOS application developers, enterprise architects, business leaders, and users. Drawing from these experiences and thought leaders, the enterprise’s first yield simulator application prototype was developed. Within two weeks, the native iOS minimum viable product (MVP) was created and ready for field testing.
Solution
Empowering sales representatives to create growing simulations, alter parameters including commodity prices, and land conditions to tailor data to their customers. Developing a platform for sales representatives to save and view their customer profiles (even offline). This solution enabled sales representatives to have richer conversations with their customers and build a stronger working relationships moving forward.
